READINGS

Although the exposure of Daniel Roth has been significantly increasing over the past decade and acclaimed articles have been published about the great watchmaker himself - the story of Daniel Roth is unceasing and somewhat under-appreciated with the name recently acquired by LVMH in process of its revival.

Beginning in Audemars Piguet as a watchmaker and Breguet to further develop its design language, Roth has not only advocated for its aesthetically sensible craft, but the advancement and incorporation of Lemania movements - notably Ref. 3130 & 3135 still remain traces later on his own Chronograph and Tourbillon. Here we have a signature Roth double-edged casing with Moonphase, Small Seconds and Power Reserve Indicator. It is known that only a very handful of each Roth models are prominent with availability remaining scarce and often under few hundreds made for each reference.

The transitional period following large companies’ acquisition to his name marks a different era where his late creations are somewhat different and debatable. None the less, Roth has laid a solid foundation to his late name - Jean Daniel Nicholas where unique creations continue to flourish.
