The Ghost.

The Rolex Submariner remains as an iconic, influential and adaptive series who needs no introduction. The Submariner has screened numerous appearances in movies and sports perhaps due to its proportion, versatility and price as a utility watch, encompassing the challenge and chase for underwater discoveries. While there are diverse variations of vintage, neo-vintage and modern Submariner references, Ref. 1680 is one of the most collectible date-function Submariner with Rolex’s inception of a dive watch.

The beauty of vintage Submariner is their visual variations from ageing which results in terms ie. ‘tropical, ghost, lemon, cream, snowflake, stardust, pumpkin’ etc with each developed patina over the years. This MK-I ‘Mark I’ issue is desirable with a uniquely aged ‘Ghost’ bezel, Tritium and extra large ‘Cream’ Lume, combining some of the most favoured conditions within one single watch.

This particular 1680 ‘Ghost’ is in original and good condition without modified parts. Lugs has been polished previously. It retains even lugs with ‘Ghost’ bezel with aged pearl intact. I will leave the watch to speak for its own.
