The Tudor Royal to me is a watch that represents a classy yet more affordable day/date watch.

Stunning sunburst blue dial and integrated bracelet gives it the pop and presence needed to compete with other models on the market.

Polished bezel with engraved motif is a nice touch whilst not taking away from the well proportioned dial. Diamond dial gives it that touch of flashiness whilst not being too over the top and folding Tudor clasp is functional and easy to use.

Into terms of more affordable day/date combos I think this definitely needs to be on any collectors radar. The dial has depth and the light really does wonders to that dial and those diamonds.
